Tenacity serves over 5,000 Boston youth each summer in our Summer Tennis & Reading Program (STRP) held at over 30 public parks across the City. This dynamic program is offered on summer weekday mornings and afternoons for City youth ages 6 –10 and 11 – 16 and is free for all who participate. Each age group meets for a three-hour session where time is split between on-court tennis lessons and summer reading exercises.
Tennis instruction ranges from QuickStart beginner through advanced levels with drills and competition for all players while the reading component uses age-appropriate books and interactive word games designed to make summer reading fun.In partnership with the City of Boston, Tenacity’s STRP provides an enriching learning environment for Boston students, which keeps their minds and bodies active during the summer recess.
