Founded in 1999, Tenacity has served over 20,000 Boston students who otherwise would lack a safe, productive, and healthy after-school and summer environment. Our high-quality literacy and tennis programming not only build academic skills and improve fitness, they also foster the development of strong bonds between our students and caring staff, which instills the resilience needed to succeed in school and life.


AFTER-SCHOOL EXCELLENCE PROGRAM

The After-School Excellence Program (ASEP) successfully addresses the critical needs of urban middle school students through a highly structured literacy and tennis curriculum while also nurturing important life-skills. Students who complete the After-School Excellence Program also have access through Alumni Services to a support structure which includes academic tutoring, high school selection support, SAT preparation, cultural events, employment... SUMMER TENNIS & READING PROGRAM

Last year, our program served over 4,400 Boston youth at 30 neighborhood sites providing tennis and structured reading sessions designed to keep children’s minds and bodies active over the summer so they are ready for school. More Info...
