April Vacation: Virtual Hangouts and 8th Grade Retreat

Hi Tenacity Families,

I hope that students are able to recharge a little bit during this week of vacation from schoolwork. In case you haven’t heard the latest update from the governor, are schools will remain CLOSED for the remainder of the school year. This means that on-line learning will be taking place through June, as well as on-line Tenacity. We will be continuing to offer as many lessons and ways of support as we can, and we’ll even be attempting to hold a Virtual End of Year Ceremony in June to keep that Curley Tenacity tradition alive.

Here’s what we have going on this week:

Virtual Hangouts all week!
See the schedule in the attachments for fun activities staff members are offering to Tenacity students all week. Students are welcome to join us for as many as they want!

Virtual 8th Grade Retreat:
Thursday and Friday from 2:00-4:00pm. We are asking all 8th grade students to join us on these two afternoons to meet the Tenacity staff members you’ll be working with as high school students next year, as well as to meet Tenacity students from other schools who might become your classmates in high school! There are question and answer sessions for what to expect next year, as well as a ‘Virtual Scavenger Hunt’ through the city of Boston. The links to these sessions will be sent out by the end of the day tomorrow.

Film Festival: ‘Attack of the Lunatic’
Is now available if anyone wants to re-live the heart stopping performances from Kris and Jayden, Nico H as ‘the Lunatic’, and of course, Landy as the school librarian! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SjCH-bUF_Qw

Feel free to reach out with any questions.

Thanks for reading,
–Coach Payne and the Curley Tenacity Staff
