Good afternoon, Frederick Families & Students!
We are in our last days of school at the Frederick, but that doesn’t mean Tenacity is through! This will be one of our final weekly Frederick Blasts, but we still have plenty of content and activities to last the whole summer. Read further for those updates!
ATTENTION ALL 8th GRADERS & 8th GRADE FAMILIES! This Thursday, June 25th at 2PM, our College Prep team wants to meet with you! Join using the Zoom link included in the emailed version of this message to get to know more about the Tenacity staff you’ll be working with for the next few years. They are excited to meet you, and we are excited to see all you can accomplish in your next chapter – so make sure you attend!
Need something for your kids to do this summer? Know any students between the ages of 6-14 interested in tennis or literacy programs? Tenacity is still offering its free Summer Tennis & Reading Program (STRP). STRP will be holding hybrid programming this summer. We will continue to hold virtual programming online for those interested, but program will be held outdoors at the following 8 sites this summer:
Moakley Park (Dorchester) | Carter Playground (South End) |
Hunt/Almont Playground (Dorchester) | Malcolm X Park (Roxbury) |
Martini Shell (Hyde Park) | Rogers Park (Allston/Brighton) |
Constitution Beach (East Boston) | Billings Park (West Roxbury) |
In order to keep the numbers down, a small number of students will be selected to participate each week by random lottery, but please sign up at www.tenacity.org if you are interested! Mr. Paxton will also be teaching private lessons to Frederick MSA students who are interested, so please reach out to burkepaxton@tenacity.org for more information!
Need some academic materials for this summer? Mr. McGurn & the rest of the Tenacity staff are putting together materials & workbooks for this summer – contact ianmcgurn@tenacity.org for specifics or to share content you’d like to see!
Although the school year is finished, we will always be available to contact. Feel free to reach out with questions or concerns over the summer break.
