Good Afternoon Frederick Families and Students!
Happy Friday! I hope everyone is safe, healthy, and staying sane as week 3 of school from home draws to a close. I wanted to share a few more updates with you before we start our weekends!
Instagram:
- @tenacityboston will be doing a live interview with the Frederick Principal, Ms. Lugira, at 3:00 PM today. To watch it you only need to follow @tenacityboston and click on their story to tune in. There will be a section of the interview for questions from the audience so if you need to connect with her or the school, this would be a great way!
- We are still posting daily Instagram posts related to tennis and fitness activities as well as some fun other stuff! Mr. McGurn will be making his fitness debut today for Fitness Friday so please follow @tenacityfrederick and be on the lookout for it!
Book Club:
The Tenacity staff sent out our first book club assignment on Wednesday to all of the students. The staff has worked hard to make them fun and engaging, and there are gift cards and other exciting prizes for those who give their full participation. The first assignment is due back today at 5:00 PM, so parents please check-in with your kids about their progress! The work is posted on a virtual classroom site called Edmodo and all parents and students should have received an email invite. If you did not get an invite, please check your spam folder (that’s where my invite went the first time), and if it’s not there please reach out and let us know!
Journal Buddies:
Week 2 of journal buddies was sent out yesterday to every student’s BPS school email. Thank you to those who have already responded, but we still have yet to hear back from many of our students! This should be a fun break from your schoolwork as we are just checking in to see how you are doing! Students we miss you and want to be there for you so respond to us!
HW Help:
For any students who is having any problems with their school work, we are available to help! Please email, text, or call us and we can set up a time to help you over the phone, via email, or over a video chat. We will not facetime but we can use google hangout or zoom, and we would be more than happy to help you set it up if you are having problems!
Finally, please do not hesitate to reach out to myself or any of the Tenacity staff with any concerns or issues that you may have. This is a difficult time and Tenacity is here to help our students and families at whatever capacity we can.
Have a safe weekend and stay healthy!
