Eleanor Allen-Henderson is proud to serve as a Tenacity AmeriCorps Fellow at the Frederick Pilot School this year. Eleanor is originally from Tucson, Arizona and graduated in 2019 as a Gender and Women’s Studies major at the University of Arizona, located in her hometown. Before serving with Tenacity, Eleanor worked as a Youth in Development volunteer in a rural community based in El Quiche, Guatemala. After being evacuated from her post, as a result of COVID-19, Eleanor took up a part time job at her local used bookstore. She is very excited to be serving students again while hopefully sharing her lifelong love of literature. She hopes to pursue a Master’s degree in Education after her year of service. When not working, she enjoys riding her bike, dancing, cooking up a storm, and reading a book at a local cafe or park!
