Ned is responsible for the overall management and strategic direction of Tenacity. Ned’s past business experience includes serving as a management consultant to Fortune 500 companies. He earned his MBA, with a concentration in Strategic Organization Change, from Boston University. Ned completed a Bachelor of Science in Finance at San Diego State University where he served as captain of the Men’s Tennis Team; he later played professionally on the ATP Satellite Tour. In 2013, the International Tennis Hall of Fame presented Ned with its prestigious Education Merit Award and in the same year he was inducted into the USTA New England Hall of Fame. Currently, Ned serves as a local & national volunteer for the United States Tennis Association (USTA).
Chief Financial Officer
Rob has over 20 years of experience in the private sector – having successfully founded, and eventually sold two firms in the high tech and management services field. He is the founder and chairman of a boutique investment firm, where he oversees several private equity funds. He also played competitive tennis for several years, having competed in a number of satellite, qualifier, and main draw professional tour events. Beyond overseeing Tenacity financial affairs, you can find him on the tennis court looking after his Tennis Academy or providing board assistance to several commercial and nonprofit organizations.
Manager of HR & Pathway Logistics
Gary joined the Tenacity Team in October 2008, bringing extensive experience with out of school time learning programs for inner city youth. Prior to joining Tenacity, Gary was a program coordinator for BELL (Building Educated Leaders for Life) which provides academic based after school and summer programs to inner city students in Dorchester, Mattapan and Roxbury. He also spent five years as Principal of St. Anthony’s School in Allston, where he also taught middle school social studies and language arts.
Director, Middle School Academy
Scott joins Tenacity with experience working in the Middle East with a non-governmental organization, in the Pacific Northwest leading groups of elementary and middle school students in experimental learning activities, and for 13 years as a public middle school teacher and school administrator in New York City, Pawtucket, Rhode Island, and Cambridge, Massachusetts. Scott believes firmly that when all students have equal access to opportunities, they will achieve at high levels.
Director, Tennis, Fitness, and Summer Programs
Drew brings a wide range of experiences to Tenacity. After graduating from and playing Division I tennis at the University of New Hampshire, Drew spent two years as a Fulbright Scholar in Colombia. He has worked with refugees in Tanzania, Haitian immigrants in the Dominican Republic, and detained immigrants in southern California. Drew earned a Master’s Degree in Divinity from Columbia University’s Union Theological Seminary. Drew worked with Tenacity from 2004-2006, and after exploring various corners of the world, he rejoined Tenacity in 2014 as part of the Middle School Academy team at Jackson | Mann K-8 School. He is thrilled to share his passion for tennis and fitness with Tenacity students.
Senior Director, AmeriCorps and Recruiting
Paula comes to Tenacity with a life-long dedication to young adults and community service. She holds a B.A. from Allegheny College and a M.A. in Intercultural Relations from Lesley University. Paula's professional pursuits have been in student affairs and non-profit administration. Since moving to Boston, she has worked at City Year, the Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology, and Citizen Schools. In each role, Paula has focused on empowering young people and building community.
