Jenn Bender has spent her career helping mission-driven organizations align their operations with their strategies so they can more effectively achieve their intended impact and improve the experiences of their stakeholders. Jenn first joined Tenacity as a consultant supporting our AmeriCorps Member recruitment and then as Interim AmeriCorps Director. In addition to her operations consulting work, Jenn has served as COO for the Institute for Nonprofit Practice in affiliation with Tufts University, CEO for New Sector Alliance, Executive Director for The Bridge Center, and Program Director for Aspire MGH. Jenn holds an MBA from Babson College, a Master in Education degree from Harvard University, and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and Mathematics from Cornell University, and is a two-term AmeriCorps Alumna.

Marcela is responsible for leading and providing strategic oversight of our school-based “Pathway” and staffs, including Middle School Academy, College Prep, and Post-Secondary Services. She brings extensive experience in organizing academic and non-academic support systems for students from a variety of demographic backgrounds. Marcela served as Dean of Students at Noble and Greenough School, where she also taught in its history department. She has held positions that include Director of Math-Science Upward Bound, a private/public venture between Nobles and UMass Boston; Assistant Director of Admissions at Wellesley College; and Assistant Director of Student Support Services at Boston College. Marcela is originally from Ecuador.

Rob has over 20 years of experience in the private sector – having successfully founded, and eventually sold two firms in the high tech and management services field. He is the founder and chairman of a boutique investment firm, where he oversees several private equity funds. He also played competitive tennis for several years, having competed in a number of satellite, qualifier, and main draw professional tour events. Beyond overseeing Tenacity financial affairs, you can find him on the tennis court looking after his Tennis Academy or providing board assistance to several commercial and nonprofit organizations.
