Huge shout out to the Girls Got Game Leadership Team. The first ever Girls Got Game tournament, the G3 Championships, was a huge success as girls from all Middle School Academy sites and from several partner high schools came together in a city-wide and Tenacity Pathway-wide competition.

2017 ends with the Mario Umana Eagles hoisting the championship trophies, and 2018 will begin with the Eagles perched atop the MSTL power rankings. The Eagles won both the 2017 Rising Stars and Holiday Classic tournaments, in an unprecedented display of MSTL dominance.

On September 16th, 32 students and six staff members from Tenacity made a trip down to the Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, RI to catch the Hall of Fame ITA Grass Court Invitational. Middle school students from all five of our partner middle schools attended, as did students from six partner high schools. Five AmeriCorps Fellows accompanied the trip, which included watching some of the best collegiate tennis players in the country.

Citrix is an American multinational software and technology company that, for the past four years, has volunteered at Tenacity to aid in the preparation for our Summer Tennis and Reading Program (STRP). In anticipation of STRP, Tenacity has been ordering both academic and tennis-based supplies to prepare each of the 28 sites spread throughout Boston and Worcester for its campers.
