Hi Tenacity families,
Today I have a lot of links to share with you all as we head into the weekend. These cover virtual classes, some student work, next week’s plan, and a link to sign up for the Tenacity’s city-wide Summer Tennis and Reading Program (STRP). Even though it looks like we’re going to have to do it virtually this summer, Tenacity is still committed to offering a summer program to the best of our ability to keep students active and combat summer learning loss.

Movie Night: 3:00 this afternoon. Any students who made it to their book clubs this week will receive a link for this afternoon’s movie, which will be voted on during the Zoom session. Ms. Li will be sending out the movie link to everyone eligible later this morning.
Office hours: I’m available on office hours from now until 10:30 this morning. I’m also still looking for a few more students to be guests on Dairon Feliz’s ‘The Things Today‘ interview today at 12:30. Both can be found on the Zoom link that was included in the emailed version of this message.
Jayshawn’s ‘Ram Report’ blog: Check out this week’s post! https://jbramreport.blogspot.com/
Next Week:
With Book Clubs finished, in next week’s virtual classes we will be doing a fairytale unit; learning all the pieces that make up these short stories that make up much of the folk lore in many cultures. At the end of the week, students will be creating (and possibly recording) their own modern day fairy tales.
We are holding classes Monday through Thursday at 4:00pm. Students are expected to come to at least one day during the week, but encouraged to join us for all four of these lessons. A Zoom link was included in the emailed version of this message.

Thanks for reading, have a good weekend.
