Happy Friday Curley Tenacity!

The real French Open is postponed, but we’re going to celebrate this famous tournament anyway by watching highlights and player bios, taking a ‘virtual tour’ around some Paris landmarks, and learning to speak a little bit of French as well! We have an exciting week planned with activities each day, and are hoping all students can join for a minimum of ONE of the sessions.
Monday: Live workout and Exploring France (*This is Memorial Day, but we’re still offering a session for those who want to join)
Tuesday: Learn to Speak French
Wednesday: Live workout, French Open Player Highlights
Thursday: Virtual Tour of Paris

END OF YEAR CLASS COMPETITION–READY PLAYER ONE
Since this year’s End of Year Ceremony is going to be held virtually, we chose our theme to be around the book/movie ‘Ready Player One’, about a massive video game competition held in a virtual world in the future.
To close out the school year, we’re holding a three week class competition starting on Monday, based off of the one in Ready Player One. Students earn points based on their participation in the Tenacity virtual games, challenges, and classes being held from May 25th to June 12th. The Top 5 players at the end will all receive a prize at the Virtual Ceremony on June 18th, with a grand prize to the final champion.
How to Earn Points:
1 point – Reply to staff text message, liking or commenting on @CP_solotennis or @The_Real_MsLi on Instagram
2 points – Weekly phone check ins // -Log in to Virtual Class
3 points – 30 minutes at class session, attend office hours or Movie Day
5 points – Full class session and full participation, Zoom session for extra book club or homework help
8 points – Sending in home tennis and fitness videos & pictures of completed challenges
10 points – Completing an extra project (blog, podcast, artwork, etc)
*Bonus: Winning a virtual ‘trophy’ on a Zoom competition (3, 5, or 10 points)
Every student will have a screen name, and we’ll be posting scoreboard updates every few days until the end.
