Hello Tenacity Families
More details down below, but here is what you need to know:
– Respond to this by email or text (203-814-2639)
– Follow @UmanaTenacity on Instagram and send me or Ms. Johnson things you’ve been doing over break so we can post them
– Next week we will start posting assignments, tennis workout ideas, and doing journal buddies through Google classroom
We hope that this finds everyone doing well. This has been a challenging week for everyone, and a situation no one thought would happen. Even though we are not in school, we are committed to providing interesting, engaging, and educational content to our students. A quick request before we move on- if you get this, please respond to me by email or text 🙂
Over these weeks away from school, we will be providing both homework help for your other classes and providing some interesting and creative assignments. We are starting an Instagram (@umanatenacity) to share any art or creative things you guys do over the next several weeks. Plus, if you guys have any awesome ideas for things to do over break, share that with us and we can spread your ideas to the rest of the Tenacity family. Follow us and send me or Ms. Johnson (541-515-8823) anything that you’d like to add!
I want to assure you that we will continue to stay in contact, including with Journal buddies. We will be writing to you all next week, and we can’t wait to hear how you are doing. In the meantime, please reach out if you have ANY questions, concerns, or just need someone to talk to. We are here to support you!
I do not yet have access to the Google classrooms (I don’t yet have a BPS account and won’t for a few days), but Mr. Nevada can share any files you upload with me until I get access. We will be posting 2-3 assignments a week starting next week, as well as sending out cool things we find online as we all sit in front of our computers and phones for the next month and a half.
We know a lot of you will miss tennis, we do too! Mr. Hurston, Coach Drew, and the other tennis staff are finding cool workouts you can do by yourself to stay in shape and practice your tennis skills. These will be sent your way soon. In the meantime, let us know what you’re doing to exercise, and we’ll pass around your good ideas!
This is a very strange time, but you are all capable young adults and we know you will come out of this stronger. Take care, and please don’t hesitate to reach out.
All the best,
Mr. Nigrosh and the Umana Tenacity Team
